Potential for Discolored Water

If you are in the Salmonberry area and have discolored water, we are aware of the issue and are currently working to resolve it. If possible, we advise to not use taps inside the house and run an outside faucet for 15-20 minutes to clear out any sediment.

Sewer Collection System

West Sound Utility District Wastewater Collection System staff is charged with protecting the public's health and safety by maintaining the integrity of the new and existing system. The maintenance team is responsible for monitoring the condition of just over 45 miles of sewer main infrastructures through high pressure jetting and tv inspections for root intrusion, breakage and infiltration.

To provide a more reliable operation Sewage lift stations are inspected daily. Of the twelve lift stations we own and maintain, seven have backup emergency generators that are tested frequently. West Sound Utility District has an experienced staff on call to serve our 12,600 customers 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
